Is there a reputable photo shop in Buriram that can take a decent passport photo for an application for an Australian passport. The PP office has become very strict about the quality of photos due to facial recognition and other high tech features on the new passport. The problem with most photo shops are they take the photo from too far away and then zoom in during processing which reduces the quality. I have told them many times in the past what is needed and they just nod and say they know and do it their way, I'm in Surin by the way.

The Fuji shop not far from Anuban Buriram is good.

It's on Phitak Alley. Just up from the junction with Sunthon Thep Road.

Just to let people know you can park at the Chong Chom border, but not with the immigration police as before.
You have to park on the opposite side of the road, where there's a parking compound; this looks to be a privately run, however I could be wrong.
The cost of parking for a farang is 90 baht a day / night.
Personally I'm not going to do this, because when there I had a gut feeling that on my return my truck might not be there.

Does anyone know if you can still park your car with the border police at Chong Chom when taking a two / three day trip to Siem Reap?
I know you used to be able to do this (was 100 baht a day), but I just want to confirm I can before I head out there.

I've not been there for a few years.

I doubt they'd stop the parking. It's a money spinner.

Family and children / Re: information on how to get a child a Thai ID card

Hey, I'm in Burirum and I will be trying to get my daughter her Thial ID card. She is 13 years old.

I have her birth certificate and the house blue book where she is registered.

Her Thai mother is here to help sign anything needed on the day.

Is there anything else I need to take with me when I go or can it all be sorted on the day?

Many thanks for all the help.

That sounds about right. Take your passport and ask her mother to take her ID card too.

Why have you waited so long? 7 years old is the age to get an ID card.
