I get quite disappointed when I realise I've missed an event in the Province that I would've enjoyed, hence I thought this might be a useful ongoing topic that all expats can contribute to.
Sometimes our wives-girlfriends show little interest in many events, as they've seen it all so many times before, hence they don't bother to tell us.
Consequently, we're often in the dark and completely clueless about upcoming events.
So, if you have some knowledge of an upcoming event, why not share brief details here on this topic thread. Can be in any Amphur in the Province, not only Muang.
Other expats can then decide if the event tickles their fancy, or not.
Doesn't matter what type of event. Sporting, street parades, garden displays, culturally significant events, boat races, kites, elephants, concerts, Chang Arena events ..... you get the picture.
As an example, when I first arrived in Buriram, I was dating a teacher. I got dragged along to the Provincial Teachers Sports Day Competition and subsequent street parade. Was a huge amount of fun. Being the only farang spectator among many hundreds of mainly female gorgeous teachers added to the fun.
So, let's hear from you. Anything happening in your neck of the Province in the next 7 days ?
Doesn't matter how insignificant the event may seem to you. It may appeal to someone.

I'm always looking for options to get out of the house. Oh and put me down for the next Sports Teachers Carnival Day next time it comes up. LOL

I have been assured by ThaiBev that advertising for Chang arena events will be posted in English language as well so that we - those that don?t read or write Thai- may be better informed of upcoming events. We will see!
