Hi

It's called Vinyl thats as in records and the place is decorated with music memorabilia,  a sort of mini Hard Rock Cafe! I have not been in there recently but I am informed that it is open. I did visit prior to opening and it looks as if the guy has invested and put a lot of effort in it.

Worth a visit

TBWG

PS Its just a 100 meters or so down from Paddys irish Pub.

Today I went to the VINYL french restaurant.Didn't had the chance to meet the owner as he is out of Buriram town right now but had a meal and drink there.
The food was good and the place looks like TBWG described ("a sort of mini Hard Rock Cafe") nice lounge with sofas and TV for guests want to sit and relax, looking at the menu have some interesting french dishes which I was surprised to see..give it a try.
I will give more serious review when I'll meet the owner.

Cheers.  :)

Had the pleasure of eating at the Vinyl awhile ago.

Good layout and very clean. Great service as well.

Took a friend and we had the French onion soup (huge) and assorted meat platter / salad. All very nice and not expensive.

However, my friend recently took some visiting family there, and it turned out a real disaster :o Apparently, Oliver (the young French guy who runs the place) was not in town. Wrong meals served, cold meals served, no meals served, unattentive staff etc etc.... maybe a case of while the cats away ???

Anyway, he has lost at least one customer there, but I will be back to try Olivers changing menu in the near future (just hope he is there)

ps... my friend went to paddys the next night.....Adian the owner was also out of town, and guess what.....yep, another and unimpressive disaster :'(

happan to us also, the menu wasn't clear, the owner wasn't there, ordered some meat dish with toast and salad and all came cold EVEN THE TOAST  :'( seems like the owner [french??] left ready meals while he is out of town.
hope they serve better food while he is present there.

Cheers  winkbar

Onion soup nowhere authentic at all. Breakfast trying to give too much of low quality to keep the price down. Would be better to offer better quality and knock the OJ and coffee on the head.

Guess it is what Buriram wants though as cheap is good seems to be the local western mantra.

Apologies all round... it seems that pbee was right. And I was just listening to local gossip :o

It seems, that despite the notice on the front of the shop, that says it will re-open today, it has been cleared out confused4

I am sure it will all come out in the wash, and I sincerely wish Oliver the best in any future efforts here or wherever he ends up.

The owner,Olivier has closed down the place.
Too bad it didn't worked out for him out there as it was a nice place.

Wish him best luck.  sawadi
