I am coming to live in Nang Rong end of december this year and would like to buy a Yamaha Tricity motorbike, but Yamaha shop in Nang Rong tell me that they stopped selling the Tricity in Thailand and it will not be possible to buy one. Because of my light physical imbalance problem I really need a motorbike like the Tricity, but do not know where I can still get something like that. Second hand Yamaha motorbikes are not available in Buriram area, so I am a little bit lost at the moment. Can somebody help me with this?

There are also Trikes for sale (2 back tires). I saw one within the last 2 weeks in Buriram, just don't remember where. I'll keep a look out for you.

I know that there are also trikes, but the problem is that trikes are not really allowed on the road and it is impossible to get an official license for them and that is why my Thai wife refuses to buy them. I still want to find a Yamaha Tricity, because that model is perfect for me and legal. Thank you for the help.

I saw one for sale at a store (not a regular dealer) 6 months ago. Next time I am in that area I will see if it is still there.
However, have you tried baht sold?

And for a few thousand baht you can mail your scooter thru the post office.

I recently saw a new one on the show room floor @ Yamaha dealer in Lahan Sai; will double check to see if it's still there.

You are right about the legality of trikes. I believe Yamaha are(have) stopped making the tricity due to bad sales.

I was right. Yamaha dealer in Lahan Sai has one on the showroom floor; not sure what that color is called - perhaps "almond"?
Price is 83,500
