Title: Chong Chum market
Post by: davureborn on June 10, 2016, 12:52:46 PM
Follow up on my comment last year about a coming permanent market in Chong Chum market near Kap Choeng, I took the attached foto this morning.

I can't believe that they seriously intend to build a Robinson down there and I wonder where the present stall holders will be going.

Are you sure it's not just a advertisement hoarding for the Surin Branch ???

Looks familiar !

Doubt sincerely that Central Group would be considering building another Robinson near the Cambodian Border

Me too. However in that case, why is the sign written in Cambodian?

Have you ever been to any of the "Private" Hospitals in Surin ??

All signage there is in 3 languages Thai, Khmer and  English

Some times I think there are more Cambodians in those Hospitals (and BIG C and Robinson) in Surin then Thais or Farangs

So advertising close to the "Port of Entry" is a smart move by Central Group.

Silly me, so that explains why this one is only in Cambodian apart from the usual few words in English. In November last year I reported a huge sign board, which has now disappeared, advertising a 'coming soon' concrete market hall on this very spot.

Think you are right. There is also a poster for the Thong Tarin hotel - that is not being built at Chong Chom either :)
