Yesterday had a visit from the local Nong Ki police, who gave me a Foreigners database form to fill in.It was headed Provincial Police Regin 3 & asked for the usual details & a photo. So it looks like everyone will be getting a call soon

Received mine 3 days ago. First time in 10 years.

First time I've had a form to fill in,but several years ago after a dutch guy was grassed up by his ex missus for not having a visa & an expired Passport all the local farangs had their fingerprints taken along with current visa details

I've had visits in the past, only those that are breaking any Immigration laws [ ie working without a WP or Over-stayers ] have anything to worry about.
Here's an article from a few yes ago with many interesting links .

I thought you said the other week they were all connected biggrin1
The so called local police or BiB are The Royal Thai Police same as my local police here is Kap Chong. Get a good look at their shields and ID both of them say Royal Thai Police and as I said they both use the same computer data base. This is why if your locals BiB's want to you could do your 90 day report with them, some people do. They are two separate departments but are both under one control The Royal Thai Police.
There is good info here. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Thai_Police

It seems a regular occurrence and in all rural area's Foreigners are checked up on on a regular basis, some more regular than others,so no sudden clampdown but just the normal routine checks :)
