I need some help here if you please.
The wife just went out and bought an LG 42ub820 smart tv but I have a problem
According to the info booklet I need the right LG dongle to connect to the internet.
I have looked everywhere that I can think of on the web but are unable to find one for my model UB82.
Any help would be appreciated or can I just add an android box ? Good quality but must be able to watch rugby, especially World cup

I don't know for sure but it sounds like it needs a wifi connection which is though a USB port.
I would try a standard wifi adapter (e.g. dlink). Or if your wifi router is near your TV, you man be able to use a RJ 45 LAN wire connection.

you are correct, I need to get a dongle through a USB connection
However, reading some of LG dongles on ebay etc, not all are compatable with all tvs !
I could as you suggest move the router closer to the tv and get a connection that way, thank you

According to this
http://uk.kagoo.com/TVs-Monitors-Projectors/TVs/2412569/LG-42UB820.html
It has wifi on board
Has a WiFi Connection
Like most of the other latest comparable spec LED displays, the 42UB820 has a WiFi connection.
Edit: I have been searching all over LG, but I can't find the 42UB820 but I only can find the 42UB820(T) and the 42UB820(V)

Many thanks for your reply " Iammike ".
Unfortunately according to their instructions I require a dongle but no one seems to sell them here in Thailand or the UK.
Looks like I will have to contact LG direct or hardwire it.

You will need a good internet speed to use an Android box
