Title: Recycling Cooking Oil
Post by: Starman on February 13, 2015, 09:20:00 AM
One of my wife's friends has just been round. She has started to collect old cooking oil for recycling purposes. I think she sells it to the companies that manufacture bio diesel.

Anyway....she has given us an empty oil can, I think it holds 20 litres (it's the size of the large cans in Makro), that we will fill with old oil. When it is full we give her a call and she comes to collect. She will give us 200 baht for the oil and give us a replacement empty can.

If anyone is interested in helping this enterprising idea the please let me know. I will arrange for an empty can to be delivered to your house.

Thanks

I am slightly suspicious as the same transaction in Bangkok leads to the oil being cleaned (bleach!) and resold to street side food vendors. The technology does exist in Thailand however, so maybe everything is hunky dory.

Trucks can run on it too!
