Title: Boots where can I find Big sizes?
Post by: iammike on December 04, 2014, 07:50:12 PM: I am looking for Boots (Wellington Boots) / boots what you wear when working in the garden (don't know the correct word for it), but The problem is that I need size 46 (Uk size 13).

I have looked all over Pattaya and also on some special work boots web sites but the max. Size they have is 44. I have tried those but No Go.

I know that it is difficult but if you don't try you never succeed;)

However, there have been a couple of times we were able to use "purchase points" from various Credit Cards
to take care of the extra fees, taxes and duty charges without impacting the bank account.

Post by: iammike on December 04, 2014, 11:13:53 PM: I think you need a Thai Credit Card before they will ship it to Thailand, but unfortunately I only have a Europe Credit Card. So IMHO a European Credit Card with a Thai adress will not work.

But I have send an email to the Amazon Helpdesk about this.

Get an email from friends back in Europe just now, Fedex wants around 90 Euros to send a pair of boots over which is around double of the amount the boots will cost.

Cost for the senseo +/- 50 Euro (around 2000 Thb)
Send it over with Fedex around 125 Euros (around 6000 Thb)
Tax or import Duty 3000 Thb.

So a simple coffee machine cost me around 11.000 Thb.

crazy but that's one of these things we have to accept for living in such a beautiful country. :)

Post by: davureborn on December 05, 2014, 07:31:07 AM: I'm not sure you really need wellies, if my flip flops get wet and I am slipping around inside them, I will often take them off and work barefoot in the garden. I have a pair of high quality Swiss mountain boots, I hardly ever used them.
I reckon you can get some boots made to measure in Bangkok in a couple of days and that they would be cheaper than getting stuff sent over.

Post by: Starman on December 05, 2014, 09:19:57 AM: Bank holiday and not much to do until this afternoon so I started checking my shoes. My shoes, flip-flops an wellies all show the same size but vary in length from 28cms to 31cms.

So iammikie..........how long are your feet. The small shop where I got mine might have something for you.

http://www.pangolin.co.th/product.php and they have a couple (for example: http://www.pangolin.co.th/product_detail.php?id=26), but the max size is UK 11 or EU 45.

Is that a typo? I would not think a size 11 is 44cms. The ones in my photo are 11.5.

I think he means EU 44 size ;)

A friend of a friend of a friend is bringing them over as he will be spending Christmas in Thailand.

We where Friday in RuangsangThai and I got the Grand Tour by the manager Bob (very nice and knowledgeable guy) and on our wander round found out they also have Boots. The max. size they had was 12, which where unfortunately a wee bit to small for me.
