Post by: iammike on October 10, 2014, 05:11:40 PM
(See Attachment)

We have a discussion and we hope you guys can clear this up for us, how much they cost approx.

The misses says "12-1300 THB" and the BIL says "800-900"

Thanks

5000 I guess. Check for cracks inside first.

5000 are you sure ? That's a lot higher then the guesstimates from the misses and the BIL

And that would make them (I think) more expensive then the new plastic ones, I just recently bought one of those Hi-Tec (no Ta Krai Naam etc etc bs ;) ) plastic ones, 2000 Liters for 9500 THB, and I think these "concrete" ones can only hold 1000 Liters.

Thanks Toffo, but I know where I can buy Water Tanks, it's just that we have a friendly discussion and we want to know the Approx price of those large concrete Water Tanks (look at the attachment in Post #1) .

No Problems !!

We will definitely buy stuff over there (I Think) but not now.

If no-one knows the price the BIL will go in the next couple of days and check the price.

I have found one post on the net (from 2012) and that mentioned 800 THB for the Tank and an extra 150 THB for the LId, so I doubt sincerely that the price has risen to  5000 THB  (as 1 Member guessed) but then again TiT ;)

Finally found the answer as the BIL went to look and ask.

They are 1050 THB and another 200 THB for the Lid, so in total 1250 THB.

A shame. There are very good to store water and I think they are more durable then the Plastic Tanks. The stainless tanks are just too expensive.

they were on some unused land we owned.  Basically a mosquito breeding ground so I would add guppies to eat the lavie.

Have not found a reason to want them back.

But the mosquitoes problem you have with all of your tanks, not alone with the ones I was talking about.

But If you really not use the tanks, just put a couple of drops of dish washing liquid in them once in a while, this will prevent the mosquitoes to lay their eggs.

As a blantant conservative.  The natural method appeals to me.   I just too a bunch of guppies that have excessively breeded in some pots I had, and I got a lot more fat guppies.

I've currently got 6 of these water tanks and need to get rid of at least 3 possibly up to 5 of them.

55555 Maybe a good alternative to raising Plah Nin, I also don't think they are as much work. ;)

If our house was ready, I would gladly take them off you.
