Has anyone seen, or knows where, something like the picture below can be found in BURIRAM
-
I have seen them in Big C (the one in Pattaya so I don't know if the one in Buriram will have them.)
But I would check the following
- Thai Watsadu
- HomePro
Good Luck
-
Thanks Mike ..... will do as suggested love5
-
Bought some almost identical to those last year in Global house in Surin.
Worse than useless!!!
-
It seems that Pichai can get just about anything. Maybe hit him up. I will try to attend the event at his shop next week and I can ask for you.

Go read about them solar power lights here in Thailand before you buy... They are useless...
-
I bought a solar light at Thai Watsadu yesterday, less than 100 baht each. Set it up at noon, the at dusk a Thai guy was walking by asking me WTF is that. And it could not have been timed better as just then the light came on.
Very little illumination, but in a dark area would be used to mark something like a path.
I thought is was kind of neat for the price. Bought on impulse as they were at they were at the checkout area.

^^^^ That looks quite pretty Keith ,,,,,, just not what I was looking for.
But, thanks.

Solar Lights I have previously tested and I did not see the value for the customers of Ruangsangthai in Buriram. I will ask my lighting sources if they have new models which actually hold a charge and give enough lumens of light to be a worthwhile purchase. I offer a 30 day money back guarantee on products and I could see those previous solar lights doing a rapid RETURN for cash. I did meet today with the sales manager of Nippon Paint Thailand and he is presenting some solar reflective paint at Expo Prices on October 14th and 15th at Ruangsangthai. This paint claims to have features which will keep a house cooler. Most important this morning I gave a tour of the "George Clooney Lakeside Gazebo" to Mr. Mossimo and his wife the proprietor of Roma Pizza Restaurant and Bar. All jesting aside Mrs Mossimo will be serving complimentary Pizza, and Lasagna from a kitchen where she will be selling a limited selection of mixed libations from 10am to 4pm on next Tuesday. The dining area with porcelain tile seating overlooks a "lake" near the Buriram Ready Mix concrete batching plant of Ruangsangthai. I had meetings today and will on Thursday morning with the technical team of Netafim drip irrigation who will be one of the 30 exhibitors of the Buriram Home Expo. Today at Ruangsangthai the VRH demonstration booth arrived and will be placed near the "Stop Bird" display. I will be my "own best customer" of Stop Bird which is a unique product that eliminates birds from sitting in places you do not want Birds. I will be selling solar panels and complete solar power systems including installation starting on October 14th. You can see these solar panels and ask questions of the solar panel installation team at the Buriram Home Expo which is actually next Tuesday and Wednesday. Only on Tuesday October 14th will Roma Pizza be tossed and baked fresh at my store on Highway 2078 and served absolutely free to attendees of the Buriram Home Show Event. Soft drinks will also be free for all Thai and expat customers of Ruangsangthai on both next Tuesday and Wednesday.

Looking forward to seeing you Pichai!
-
My understanding of this kind of solar illumination was that they were not to light up a football field but to show up the pathways.
-
See even pichai thinks they are Garbage.... They will be dead in a couple of weeks
-
Worth a visit even if its just to have a chat to Khun Pichai... Very nice Gentleman and good food on offer is more tempting...
-
My parents have these ones, They are worth nothing, almost no light, useless.
-
Thanks Admin, I already got the message and have already said I will be going upmarket.
I will probably get something like this to illuminate our spirit house at night ......
-
An item not often seen in Buriram has arrived for the Tuesday October 14th Buriram Home and Garden Show. YES a portable proper construction job site worker toilet is not part of the stock of Ruangsangthai. Another product you hope you do NOT need is STOP BIRD which I am now my own best customer. It causes pesky birds to nest elsewhere. We have just added bakery items from Meow Bakery in Satuk and Shrimp Tempura from Jack's Resort l& Shrimp Restaurant which is located just down Highway 2074 from Ruangsangthai, to the free food offerings to compliment the fresh baked Italian Pizza of Roma Pizza.I've been informed by my manager I will need to rent additional ice coolers for beverages on Tuesday October 14th and Wednesday October 15th. I truly look forward to seeing old friends and making new acquaintances.

Morning Pichai,
In the UK, Slang or common term for above is ' PortaLoo' .......
-
Freddy: Thank you for that good information. I have some "Proper English" language question: What is the UK slang or common term for Bathroom sink faucet or for a Kitchen faucet? Now another phrase I did not even venture was for the "personal sprayer" that is used by a toilet in Thailand. My American language teacher who is conducting English lessons twice a week for the Buriram Ruangsangthai customer service staff was attempting to call the 304 brushed stainless steel horizontal grab bars placed in a shower room, "fun bars", but I believe he is pulling my leg. Freddy, What do you call those grab bars that are installed in a shower for "safety"?

A sink goes in a kitchen and a basin is located in a bathroom/toilet. The English equivalent word for a faucet (American) is a tap. The personal sprayers (which are great BTW) are not allowed to be installed in UK because of the very strict water by-laws, as there is a (miniscule) chance of cross-contamination between clean and dirty water. I am therefor not sure what to call them other than the commonly used nickname of 'bum gun' LOL!
The grab bars could be called 'hand rails' I'd suggest.

I agree with Nobby.. Id say Hand Rails aswell
-
Rails could be called power squeezing bars. spot1
-
They are referred to as "bathroom grab bars". The toilet would be called a "Porta potty" in the USA.

Thank you for the many useful terms of the VRH products. I will have "solar lighting" at the two day Buriram Home Show starting October 14th. However these solar lights and solar power equipment are more for a solar security light, and for solar powered water pumps used in a field. I had the solar power panels set up by "Lake Buriram" where I believe expats will enjoy fresh baked Pizza prepared by Mossimo of Roma Pizza and fresh cooked Shrimp Tempura cooked by Jack of Jack's Resort Buriram while seating in shade with comfortable wind flow from the "Lake" near my ready mix concrete batching plant. Mrs. Mossimo is on track to sell a limited variety of mixed libations and I have a wide variety of complimentary soft beverages on ice. Complimentary fresh brewed coffee and tea will be served with bakery treats at the front door starting at 9:30am. The solar powered pumps should be working all day. The final display booth house building products are showing up at 7am on Tuesday so I have to open the store extra early for these "tardy" sales teams so they can set up display products in the Buriram Expo area of Ruangsangthai and be ready for visitors at 10am.
-
For the UK definitely 'Handrail' for the grab bar and agree with Nobby - Kitchen Sink, bathroom Basin.
-
Bearing in mind that a "basin" could also be a ceramic bowl used in the kitchen, such as a "pudding basin", I would say that the correct wording for the apparatus in the bathroom would be "wash basin".

I was in Robinsons Surin yesterday, saw these:
