Title: Stop over in KL.. maybe stupid question
Post by: dassyurus on June 20, 2014, 03:42:10 PM
Am flying Aus to BKK , and is the first time I have been let off the chain
Question is... for the stop-over in KL , do I need any paperwork if I am not leaving the international airport?

Thank, Alan

Hi Alan.

1 - No is the short answer to your post. Provided you don't try to exit through the Immigration booths, you will be able to wander around the inside of the Terminal etc for the short layover time between flights. No probs.

2 - Australian citizens do not require a visa to enter Malaysia anyway.

However, I have found that when you arrive from a different country and are going to a 3rd country, expect to have to go through some kind of airport security.

But I have no experience in the stop you mentioned, so I don't know.
