Title: question about car insurance
Post by: MichelNL on April 30, 2014, 04:21:46 PM
hi everyone,

i have a question , what does the insurance costs per year for a new nissan almera?
has to be insurance that pays to the other party , not to me when i made an accident.

does someone know a good cheap insurance company?

i've heard a story from someone who bought a 5 door car , he had to pay almost 3 x more for his insurance per year than a 3 door car.

is this true?

kind regards,
MichelNL

@ toffo

I am also looking at other options for my insurance provider.

First year was "free" insurance with one of the major banks. Second year they wanted 20K +.

Changed to another insurer, same cover, 17K. But NO mention of no claim discount ???????

Its due at the end of this month so would be interested in any recommendations.

Do you have any further details for Nick?

The info provided by Toffo is correct.

Most providers of first year free insurance are reluctant to make contact by mail, instead hounding you by telephone to renew at a high price. Without renewal paperwork, it is difficult to change insurer, and a new insurer will not provide a NCB without evidence.
