Chakri Day is April 6
Chakri Memorial Day falls on Sunday, April 6 this year. As it falls on a weekend, Monday April 7 will be the substitute public holiday. Government offices and some businesses will be closed. Chakri Day commemorates the establishment of the Chakri Dynasty and the founding of Bangkok by King Buddha Yodfa Chulaloke in 1782.
