I don't understand your question exactly. Is it for business or just a single vehicle on someone else name?

There is a form the owner of the car should sign on it plus copy of id card and maybe also tabian ban (house book), you go to transportation office and do the transfer. sawadi

ban1216 ... do you have an update on this situation. Was your friend able to sell a vehicle that didn't belong to him ?

I'm sure many expats would be curious (worried?) if that is possible.

Think about the reverse situation. ie your wife/girlfriend decided to sell YOUR car (registered in farang name) without your permission.

Paul ... you indicated it "was so simple even you could manage it" . Could you please explain to us numptys how it's a supposedly simple process.

Going to LTA with a car not registered in your name will get you nowhere fast.

A fairly common ruse is for ladies (of a certain type) to have forms signed/forged taking the car/truck out of the rightful owners name and into their name. Next stage is to borrow money against the vehicle behind the back of the 'owner. This situation happened to me and it took over 3 years to sort out (+200k baht) but I eventually won the court case twice (I was counter sued) and received the ownership back in my name.
