Hi,
I know it is a bit of a stupid question, but how do you go about finding a house in Buriram? Either to buy or rent.
Apart from either looking on here, or on ddproperty.com, the only other way I have ever heard about houses on the market is by word of mouth, or by driving past.
Do they have estate agents? How do people sell houses if they need to. Am I missing something obvious?
Cheers brick1

If you are in Thailand_ look and let your missus ask from local people. Buriram isaan property and all farang running busineses are asking top prices. I think runners of this website run the realestate busines in BURIRAM and it shows in the prices.

Cheers Nico. My missus has a habit of finding the perfect property, just as it is sold.
We'll keep looking. I'm back in town next month so I will try and get off my arse and have a look round.

good luck and keep your head cool chairhit

Correction:
Buriram Expats is a Thai-foreigner business however it's pricing for all services being offered are on the low side and a decent English-Thai speaking person with a commitment to serve the community.
It's a great honor for us, we respect and welcome any person to come and get an honest & Free advice and/or use our service with a great pleasure.
Please take a look at the classified section in the forum as well.
Just thought its important to say. ;) sawadi

I understand that some of the larger banks have a posting in their lobby of forclosed properties. I have not personally seen this, but I plan on taking a look myself. If someone knows or has seen this, please advise! These banks also have the properties listed on their websites, but who knows how current that will be. Thanks.

I have seen this many times in nearby cities. usually a big display board outside of Bank. As you say, its usually by word of mouth but be on your guard for both Thai&Farang people wanting to make a fast buck off the (possibly) gullible newbie . I am generalising and that remark is not meaning YOU Moomin.
Good luck

At Big C where the banks are, the one in the middle (light blue, Not Bangkok) has a rack with pictures, prices, and location just as you enter the bank.

Thanks Urleft, most helpful as always.

Don't tell that to Nookie as he may bust a vein.
As I was in Big C today, the bank is KTB.
Good luck to you. And here is one of my top vids:

I was looking for house here too. Its easy, let your wife or gf ask local people. There are many houses for rent or for sale in Buriram. And if you can live outside Buriram its even easier and cheaper.

You are right.
As soon as a prospective seller sees a Farang face the price goes' through the roof''. If looking for a place, stay in the shadows initially, is my advice.
