This will make you laugh until you cry...................
I got a phone call earlier from our good friend CoCo.He was driving along the 24 & rang me to ask if the 'speed police' were out in their regular spot.....I informed him YES they are indeed there..........
10 minutes later I get another call from him.........Wait for it!!!!!
He had forgotten where they are ALWAYS in waiting, didn't slow down in time ,went past the cameraman at 118kph & got done for the mandatory 200 baht...........
-
wow! Lose your license for that in Switzerland and pay a lot lot more.
-
To be fair, I don't do that stretch of road very often and was sure the BiB stationed themselves at the 9km mark.
WRONG !
Still - only 200 Baht and I wished him a happy Loy Krathong......
-
I never remember where they are either. Hope you asked for a ticket though CoCo, that way you can speed the rest of the day as long as you stay in the same province. 200baht for speeding is a bargain. 200baht to speed all day, priceless! wildman

If you want a ticket it costs you 400baht!

.... and do you also have to go to the local police station ?
I have previously considered the 400 Baht option when I been 'nabbed' early on a long journey.

Spot on Scorpio - can't be done for the same offence again in the same day.
Not sure if the rule applies to murder, or only traffic violations.

So it's only 400 Baht to get your own Formula 1 track for a day!!?? Nice....

I'll keep that in mind!! biggreen

I wish it was only 400 baht for speeding here in Hawaii. Yesterday I got a ticket for speeding in Honolulu (39 mph in a 25 mph zone) and the fine was 3800 baht. I will probably just pay it (rather than go to court) because it is easier and I don't have to take a day off work. I wish the fine was just 400 baht, what a bargain.
-
The last speeding ticket I got cost me 15000 Baht and a notice in my license - strike 3 and you're out...
-
400 baht is a bargain by comparison.
-
Yep :)
