Heavy rain this morning so no golf; feeling gloomy, so I thought I would share this.
In preparation for my demise, I have listed all the required information so that Ray and Nick at Prakhonchai Expat Services can ensure my wife has the benefit of my pensions etc., but there remains the question of what to do with my ancient and abused fat body.
I was brought up in the post-war “waste not, want not” years, so to be buried or burnt when I die, is abhorrent to me.
Hopefully I can be of some use after my death by offering my remains for use in teaching prospective doctors and I downloaded the necessary form from here :- http://202.28.95.5/11department/anatomy/docfile/dntfm48.pdf
Unfortunately it's all in Thai.
As I understand it you have the usual Thai funeral with a couple of days of partying/paying respects/mumbo-jumbo etc., and at the end; instead of being burnt, your body is taken away by the hospital.
You even have a choice as to the way your skeleton is disposed of when they have finished. It can either be burnt or wired up for continued use in teaching.
I have opted for the latter as the thought of looking down on nice young female doctors for many years, does have a certain appeal.
My wife is very enthusiastic about the idea – slightly less so when I explained she has to wait for me to die before they cart me away!

DJ ... just keep taking that honey and cinnamon and you will probably be around longer than most of us "oldies" :)

I'm donating my body to science fiction...
