I don't begin to understand smart phones and the options available.
I want to get a phone that (apart from standard telephony) will enable to access the Internet to book hotels, surf, do online banking etc. I would also like to take reasonable pictures that I can immediately send on to friends and family.
I have no idea of contracts that may be available but I am looking at something like a Samsung Galaxy mini up to a Samsung Cooper - think this puts me in the 5/8k Baht range.
Any advice would be appreciated

Don't buy the samsung galaxy mini, the screen is too small.
Try the Samsung Galaxy Ace. The phone is as good as the iphone (maybe even better?!) and cost not much.
The thing is that if you need a smartphone to do many things apart from calling and you want to surf internet, etc,, the size of the screen matters alot....... sawadi
