The Israelis are developing an airport security device that eliminates the privacy concerns that come with full-body scanners.

It's an armored booth you step into that will not X-ray you, but will detonate any explosive device you may have on your person.

This is a win-win situation for everyone, with none of this crap about racial profiling. It will also eliminate the costs of long and expensive trials.

You're in the airport terminal and you hear a muffled explosion. Shortly thereafter, an announcement:-

“Attention to all standby passengers, El Al is proud to announce a seat available on flight 670 to London. Shalom!”

What a brilliant idea.Airport lounges will be packed.Just like public hangings in the good old days.Except a little messier I suppose.   jumping8

Hope it doesnt malfunction when an innocent passenger is in there. :o

I don't mind good old frisk search if someone does it thoroughly.....LOL...

My dear Welshperson,

The clue is in the phrase:- "will detonate any explosive device you may have on your person".

Just how innocent would your passenger be carrrying an explosive device?

I get that the Israelis would easily obsess about these sort of security measures, knowing that they are frequently the victim of attacks from their favorite enemy the, Palestinians....
