Some advice : DON'T get involved ... people will promise you pots of gold if you do it but in the end you WILL be royally screwed ...

If you want to do it professionally you will have to sign contracts with pig feed suppliers ... who are in the same loop as the people who will buy the raised pigs from you ... prices of the pigfood will soar after a few months and when your first batch of pigs is ready to be slaugthered you will amazingly realize how prices have dropped for you ... so no profit even a big loss ... and this will happen time after time till you quit and sell out for 10 cents on the dollar ...

This is only the financial side ... it is hard labour to raise pigs ... potential diseases ... cleaning the pigbarns ... the smell ( it really stinks half a mile around ) ... the workforce you cannot rely on ... and it is a full time job : 24 hours a day / 7 days a week ... you constantly have to monitor your animals if you don't want any unforseen "surprises" ... and you are not allowed to do it personnally ... you will need a workpermit to do so ...

Keep your money in the bank and enjoy it ...

We have a pig farm, but we do not fatten the pigs for market;  that's a mug's game, as the prices fluctuate wildly.  We sell weaners, for which the price (and demand) is reasonably steady.

Between 1300 and 1400 baht (I don't know exactly, as I don't handle this myself.).
