My name is Mike, please forgive the username (it’s a long story) I’m an American. I’m in the US army for over twenty years now. I’ve been going to Thailand for many years now, thanks to the army. I did some work with the Thai Army in Buriram a few years back and have some friends there still. In fact I was just there a few weeks ago, stayed at the Tepnokon (sp). I do love that town! I was walking from speed, and got a little lost, kid on a scooter gave me a ride back, was very nice of him, and shows that even stumbling over your use of Thai will pay rewards.
Anyway, I plan on moving to Hua Hin and going to school at Webster for international relations. My friend from Buriram turned me on to it, and I just visited there a few weeks ago. WOW, what a place. The seafood was awesome! Giant prawn the size of lobsters. But- with that being the plan, I still like to keep tabs on what’s going on there in Buriram, so I hope you all don’t mind. I’m looking forward to meeting each and all of you. BTW I did visit the new Italian restaurant/ B&B downtown and it was awesome, so there is your shout out my friend.
