Title: Severiano Ballesteros, R.I.P.

The death has just been announced of Seve, one of the most popular professional golfers ever.  He died of a brain tumour, aged only 54.  He won five majors, two Masters, and three British Opens.  He was notorious for visiting parts of the golf course which others never knew existed... which may have been part of his popular appeal.

A sad loss. The man was an inspiration. RIP Seve.

RIP Seve.

An inspirational golfer who brought the game's popularity to the masses. He certainly fueled my appetite for golf, perhaps because I also visited those parts of the course (or beyond) that others feared to tread.
