Songkran water restrictions.

Ministry of water sport Mr.Chang Sean confirmed today that restrictions will be apply during songkran and playing water is prohibited this year due to shortage of water at north east area of Thailand in attempt to overcome the shortage and help the farmers in the area.
The parliament approved the new law and the Ministry said the law will be enforced seriously.
People who will not obey the law will be penalized for up to 3 years in prison.
Mrs. Kwandoo said in response he is damaging the songkran holiday spirit and water is part of it. not allowing people to play water in the street may damage tourism and the mobile phones fix services which are experiencing increase of their income during the holiday.
