Title: hi guys, chef a new member here.
Post by: chef on March 19, 2011, 05:24:54 PM
hi guys, chef a new member here.

Well last month was my first in buriram and now back in aus.

I had a great month swimming, exploring and fitting in with a calm family that have not asked for a cent.

I set my new wife up i a house with the three littlies next to her sister.

Rent is 3k per month and she reakons on 500 baht per day to live and save a bit.

Do these figures seem real as they seem fair to me?

I spied a few other falangs around and can imagine that i may need some support in the years to come.

Next time i will post my dates to see if any gatherings are planned.

By the way this may be old news but i have discovered lyca mobile sim - 19 cents unlimited talk to thailand CHEAP.

Anyway thanks for the forum and any hints for newbies appreciated seeya in buriram, chefie..

Always good to have a new member , welcome welcome1

As for money, she's your wife, you give her what's you feel is right. There will always be someone saying that's to much or that's not enough. To be honest she's your wife and not anybody else's.....as they say " Up to you "

+1
Its all between you and her.
Do you feel trust and confident in her? This is the question. icon_heart
I think the 15,000 per month is not alot of money at all considering the current cost of living in Buriram and the region adding to it the fact there are children involved I would define it even as modest.

House rental 3000 Baht/month is a good price and that's the average bottom prices for house rentals in Buriram.

I reckon you have added a "0" to the daily amount required.

500 baht a day to cover everything and save a bit. Hmmm ?

Does she have a good track record of saving and what job does she have (or did have).

Does she play cards ?

I hope i post this one right and thanks to the admin team.
I am living right in town next to the big hospital.
Previously the missus worked at the hospital preparing I.V. drips, the money was crap and with three kids she was just getting by. I do trust her and have already let her know that some visits will be by surprise. This did not raise an eyebrow so that will do for me. Just a bloody shame about the aussie dollar! thanks for the clues and i will keep an eye on the chat to get up to speed.

Mate,

She seems quite a reliable person to me as she has got only 3,000 baht house and asked for 15,000 baht only. Sounds like a keeper.

All the best with your relationship.

Cheers
