Title: Black day for British sports
Post by: isanbirder on January 30, 2011, 05:27:06 PM
Murray is 2-0 sets down in the Australian Open Tennis final (having gone wobbly, as the Lady would have said, at the end of the first set);  the cricketers are 145-9 chasing a target of 250, and will lose the ODI series.  Murray's still the best men's tennis player we've had for a long time, but how come our cricketers are so bad at ODI after such a decisive win in the Ashes?  Or are the British doing as badly at other sports?

Shame Murray lost..........again a case of failed when it mattered. I get the feeling that if he keeps letting these chances slip by then it will affect his confidence all the more and then it will be a psychological thing. Think he is a grade above Henman though

I'd go along with that........Henman was always a 'Mummys Boy'
