My wife has just finished building her family house, and we will be coming to stay in it in February on holiday.
As its newly built, we need to buy a Bed, Sofa and a fridge.
Does anyone have any ideas how we do this in Isaan.
We have access to a pick up, but need as much help as people can give
Thank you

Where abouts is the house ?

If you go to a local furniture shop it would be delivered within an hour of you paying.

Bed, Sofa and other furniture items:
On Pitak road there are many furniture shops you can find all of these items.
'Ice Furniture' (On Paludmuang road).
Fridge and other Electronic devices for the home:
'Tawikit' supercenter, 'Big-C' (Just outside of town down from Jira road: Recommended), Nikki (Inchannarong road),'Makro' ( Not far from 'Big C').
*There are more small shops inside the city but variety is limited and prices might be 'flexible',
I like to buy where the price is fix and these places listed above are OK.
If you need any further help and advice, we are here.

My wife doesnt do much shopping really, as I make her spend her own money for non necessary items. Tends to cut it down.
She certainly has never shopped for a bed, sofa and fridge in Isaan.
Thank you for your help Admin

Sorry, missed the first 2 replies.
House is in Chamni, half way between Buriram and Nang Rong.
Turn off near the hospital.
Might be a piece of string question, but does anyone have an idea how much they will cost?
Im hoping to buy the basic option, not the deluxe or super deluxe that my wife will try to make me buy

Dont tell the wife, shes obsessed with green green grass, so much so that we had our wedding photos altered.
Any information on price, probably best to put a range of prices so I can start working on the lower end, woudl be greatfully received.
-
so you want a cheap deal..........
bed 5000 baht.
sofa set 5000 baht.
fridge 5000 baht.
would you need to use it also? I think you should look at quality also if you are going to use it in the future.
-
Im just looking for ballpark figures, so that is good thank you.
I have no idea how much these things cost in Thailand, and neither does my wife.
Just dont want them costing £1k a piece, or at least have time to prepare and bring the right equipment if they do.

bed 5000 baht.

RobMc.......I was watching some porn the other night and whilst watching I thought to myself," bloody hell, that bed looks comfortable" ::)
I would spend at least 10k on a bed ,maybe more ,the last thing you want is to wake up with a bad back smilenod
-
Your watching the wrong sort of porn!
10k / 15k isnt too bad. Its only for us as her mum is adamant that she will be sleeping on the floor and the bed will be for guests.
Any ideas on sofas / fridges

SANYO
Refrigerator
# RM-852/952CE.
- Automatic defrost.
- Distribution of cooler surround
- eliminate the odor and bacteria.

BigC fridge / freezer - Samsumg - around 8k, washing machine the same. Bought beds in Bangkok and shipped for Bt1000 and other furniture including sofa from a place on Jira Road, along past the school and nearer to the small roundabout on the left. Decent prices, good negotiation backed up with cash shown as a final persuader.

In the end we used a combo of Big C for electricals, and a shop in Nang Rong for the Sofa / Bed / Wardrobe.
I dont know the name but it was a 4 floor furniture store, which was very reasonable and delivered free.
All very reasonable and very happy

I was only with your nearby neighbour Peter yesterday & he has just had a new supply of grass paint delivered
