My drain was stop running yesterday...I woke up early today and try to solve the problem...first I try to pumping with the plasticsucker thing I have on picture I don't know how to call, but it not work ...water was still in the wash no move...so I empty the water by take to bucket carry out... I take a break and drink my morning coffee while I boiled water to the kitchen wash...I pour boiled water in and nothings help...take another cups coffee and think what I can do?...now is my last try to solve it...I think I work hard already from 06am...So I go out from the kitchen walk into where the drain end, Then I start put the hose into the PVC pipe, turn on the water with high pressure pump and put that hose 12 meter in to the PVC to release the dirt...I see somethings come out like old soap from washing mashine...oh my god the soap blocked the drain...I stop the pump after done..walk back to the kitchen...oh my Budha dirty water run on my kitchen floor and everywhere...
P.S. I know it can use the caustic soda to solve it
but to early to go buy it...but now im done...have to clean the kitchen now...enjoy your day everyone...

Well!!! life is not so easy?

They are not big yet... right now is about 2 fish for 1 kg... good Tilapia have to be 1 kg per fish...but we eat them anyway lol.... I don't know that can make money, but I get fun to look at them when I have my morning coffee ...

Most farangs would consider it not too profitable, I think.
Maybe you might get a bit of enjoyment out of it, if you either fish yourself or eat a lot of fish.

We are growing both tilapia and catfish in our pools. The anticipated profit on the next batch which represents 4-5 months work will be around £8k. My intention is to have 3 cycles per year which will i believe be an adequate return from that part of the business. A lot will depend on scale. I find the most expensive cost is the fish food as most of it is bought in pellet form by the 20kg bag. averaging 420 bht each.Good luck if you decide to take the plunge.

Yeah ! I really enjoy mine : ) ...I try the one we just bought...it's run good, but very heavy for me to push around...and I really happy to get a new one from him...Thank you my darling : )

Yes, me myself and I will have alot of fun, because so called power woman thinks it is too heavy and wants to take it back. The new lawn mower is not much heavier, but it runs a bit heavier across the lawn because unlike the old machine the skirt of this one combs the grass before it hits the blade to give it a better cut.
Tee rack's conclusion: The old one was more fun to work with. (Pity it did not cut the grass well anymore) But after all why do we have a lawn mower? Not to cut the grass but to have fun isn't it?
Wait till I get back to Holland. She will have the old one fixed and will use it when I am not around. hahaha But I will check her biceps when I get back to find out what happened during my absence hihihihi

This posting has really made my day!

I'm an X pat, recently relocated to PrakhonChai.

It's good to read the comments made by a Thai national, about Thai's nationals.

It's also good to read that the lady in question takes care of the money and understands that many X pats are not just ATM's.

X pats provide much needed currency to a country such as Thailand. X pats standards are so much higher and that is very apparent, but still most X pats are treated in a very unjust way. I'm a person, not just the golden Goose that lay the golden egg. It would be nice if I could be treated with some respect and not with contempt!

Where do Thai's think X pats get their money from? I worked most of my life and very hard for my savings. I came to Thailand to support my son, but lost my home in Ubon and son because my X Thai partner and family decided that I was not good enough for her. I was  cheated out of a lot of money and treated like an idiot.

Going back to the subject of Thai workers. I had many problems whilst living in the past, with workers not turning up for work, or late. Taking it upon themselves to do what they thought was right, when in fact it was the wrong thing to do and then expecting payment. The list goes on. I found that in the end, I ended up having to make good most of the bad workmanship that was carried out!

I am now very reluctant to purchase land and build another home, only to have to go through the bad experience yet again! NO THANK YOU!

Thai nationals should be more aware that things do not stay the same forever and that X pats may just leave Thailand?

I stay for my son but it's a daily battle!!!!
