Southern train services resume


Train services to the South resumed on Tuesday morning as all wreckage from yesterday's derailment had been removed from the track, Prachuap Khiri Khan governor Veera Sriwattanatrakul said.

The Trang-Bangkok train derailed shortly before 6am on Monday at Khao Tao railway station, killing eight people and injuring 88 more.

The governor said 66 of the injured passengers had returned to their hmes, 19 remained in hospitals in the province and three were sent to Bangkok at the request of relatives.

The latest report says the accident has cost them about 129 million baht,no mention whatsoever as to the welfare of the injured parties...........This is Thailand......
