Hi all i am being told that no company's can give me internet where i live
i live near ban sauan fruit farm
true can provide tv but not internet
have asked all about a tower all is 3bb tot & true ais have a week signal on tel
any advise welcome thanks geoff

ToT doesn?t do towers (called WiNet) anymore, there cabling (Fiber) all the villages. It originates from the local Village office. I forgot the name of it.

Ask around in the neighbourhood if anyone has internet if not then ask one of the providers if they are willing to connect you up, but be warned it will not be cheap.

When we built our house I asked 3BB to connect us by getting a cable in from a nearby village, they wanted 200.000 THB to do so. This was before we know WiNet was an option back then.

It also could be that the provider wants X homes to connect to the internet (with a year contract), if you can find people who want to connect, then you maybe can get the cable in for free.

Maybe more details of exactly where you live might help.

3BB have been installing cable internet into local schools free. If you are near to a school then things will be easier.

thanks the school near me is ban faie school  as the crow flys aprox 1000 meters was told as over 700 meters will not do thanks for reply geoff

I would be very surprised if they wouldn?t do it if you cover the additional cost. I?d simpl6 as? them how much it will be to provide I& you pay for the additional meters.

To get Internet in my village I had to get 5 others to sign up. That was for dsl. Then fiber optic became available but not in our village. I called 3bb they came out to discuss. Bottom line they gave me a 900 meter roll of cable and said if I take care of getting it from the pole to the house they would do the rest. True to their word after I ran the cable through conduit and left the spool at the pole they took care of the rest at no additional cost. If you have 3bb in your area it is worth having the field supervisor come out and have a chat.

I am about 350 meters from the village connection box.
