Toyota Fortuna 3.0 V 2012 Low Mileage
« on: January 16, 2019, 02:34:22 PM »
Will probably start marketing properly in a month's time but thought I would mention it here in case anyone is interested or knows anyone looking for a solid well maintained low mileage SUV. Already had a "dealer" offer 750,000 but  consider 800,000 to be a fair price in this crazy Thailand 2nd hand market.

Toyota Fortuna 3.0 V Navi
Colour : Steel (Very Dark Blue that gets mistaken for black)
51,XXX KM
Bangkok Plates registered December 2012
Sole owner with full Toyota service history from new.
Located between Buriram and Krasang

I'll keep it brief for now and let me know if you require further information, I would post a photo but it keeps telling me it's too large and will try to shrink it to 600kb and post later!

Good luck with the sale.
I'll be interested to see if you make the 800k. Seems on the high side for a 9yr old Fortuna even with the low miles so if dealer will give you 750k I'd grab it.

I tend to agree with Freddy, but looking at some 2nd hand car sites, that car (at almost 7 years old) seems to be high in value on them. But that being said 800k is on the higher end of the range but leave your self some room for when a buyer wants to bargain (and you know they will)

Good Luck with the sale

Thanks for your comments even though you're both ageing the car beyond its current 6 years and 1 month, not sure where 9 years came from. I guess age is more important to some where mileage is desirable to others,

It's an early punt on the price and can only go by similar on the usual Thai sites which do seem to be dominated by Dealers with the occasional Private sale.

No rush to sell and if anything a little reluctant to do so but returning to the UK for a while and the car will just sit unused which isn't good.

People only will see 2012 and 2019. Thus they do the math,  2019 - 2012 is 7 years and don't think about not the real age (of 6 years and 1 month). It's Human Logic.

But As I said in my Post, but leave your self some room for when a buyer wants to bargain (and you know they will).

How long will you be going to the UK for ? As leaving the car standing in the same spot for a long time can be bad for tires. Do you have some you trust who can move the car once in a while?

Again Good Luck with the sale (we are buying a new car, but we are not selling the old car (also in very good condition and low mileage) we are giving it away to the daughter ;) )

I recently paid 880,000 for my December 2016 model, in as new condition and the most expensive top of the range model not the model you have pictured.

Wow @Tassie.

If that was the new model then you paid a very Good (low) Price (or you are just a good negotiator ;) ) !!

On the 2nd hand websites the 2016 model is showing with prices ranging UP to 1.17M Thb. (But as Linesy already said crazy Thailand 2nd hand market.)

Linesy, one question please: Was the 750k offered by a "Dealer" one of those "Tent" dealers ?? (With Tent Dealers I mean, those small shops along side of the road, where the cars are stored under a tent ;) ?)

Thank you guys for your comments but I started this post to notify of my early intention to sell a car and if anyone was interested in purchasing a car could leave a reply or send me a private message.

It was never my intention to provide a running commentary and I can confirm that any specific discussion relating to a potential sale would be kept confidential and I will also not be posting any Sold price.

Once sold I will give the courtesy to return here and post this update so future viewers time will not be wasted.

Again, thank you for your understanding, Regards

Ianmike.  Had a look at the receipt for the purchase of my Fortuner and it was 950,000 baht not 880,000 baht.

Same price we paid for a 2019 Mitsu Triton recently ;)

Still a good price you paid ! "You've all done very well" (as Young Mr Grace used to say) ;)
