Unfortunately not AFAIK, if you wanna go there you have to fly via DMK, but even taking that de-tour beats sitting in the Bus.

Example:
Air Asia flight to DMK
7:25 - 8:25

DMK - CNX
10:30 - 11:50

Return

CNX - DMK
10:25 - 11:40

DMK - Buriram
14:00 - 15:00

How long have Air Asia had that early flight? That is only 5 minutes before NokAir's flight. I remember the AirAsia flight leaving at about 09:30????

I'll be leaving my car there for 2 nights next week. I'll let you know. 555.

I have NO idea, this just came up with a search on Air Asia website. We normally don't take a plane to DMK but rather a train but on the way back prefer the plane.

Re: Parking.

There are some OLDER posts on here about that, and they mention that you have to inform staff at the Airport that you leave your car there overnight.

I believe that is still the case

Over the last 9 months I have noticed that the car parking area is generally full whenever I have been to meet a flight. That never used to be the case,  Must be many staying for a night or more.  I imagine it will not be long before you have to pay a fee if staying. more than an hour or 2.

I have just checked in for our flight to Siem Reap with AirAsia. Cheeky bastards pre booked seats in different places on the plane. It cost me 99 baht to move. Another way for cheap airlines to make money I guess.

I asked because when I booked our Siem Reap trip in November only NokAir had a flight at that time. I'm sure the AirAsia was 09:35.

Why going by Plane ???

Why not the car to Chong Chom and then a taxi to Siem Reap ???.

Last time we paid only 3k THB for a return trip (CC-SR-CC) with a reliable taxi.

Only going for two nights. Last time I asked at the border about taxis no one could offer any guarantee there would be any there. I can't stand that border anyway. Saved a few baht on the visa too. Siem Reap airport accept evisa.

Got the flying bug too. I didn't fly for 18 years, staying in Thailand, and my wife had never flown. Had a trip to Bangkok and back and UK and back. Can't stop now. 555

Yeah I agree on the border. But the roads from CC to Siem Reap do have some really nice scenery, but from the border to the Highway (Aranyaprathet - Siem Reap) the roads are in a so so condition.

I will call the Taxi driver we have the contact details off and ask him if he still goes as we also want to go to SR next month or so. (Missing Pub Street 55555555)

Ps: One thing when going through SR airport coming back.

Don't take any packed lunch with you, our hotel provided us with a delicious looking packed lunch and the security guard at the airport, was touching everything with his dirty hands and was really surprised when we received it back, it went straight in to garbage bin ;)

And prices at the Airport were High, so eat before you leave ;)

Road from the border O'Smach to the main SR to Poipet highway is fine now. Has been for 3/4 years or more.

Pub Street. mmmmmm  50 cent draft beer.. Lovely town, lovely people.  The people remind me of those I met 30 years ago when I first came to Thailand. Now its all money money and I fear SR will soon be the same.

Enjoy your trip
