What rubbish are you trying to get rid of?

No rubbish dumps that I know of but many recycling plants. Probably one of the biggest is the one opposite BigC.

Starman is correct. Pretty much everything that we can't burn gets taken away for recycling by a local guy. All the stuff that builds up in every spare corner, never gets used but can't possibly be thrown away.
If you take it to a rcycling site yourself you'll get paid more per kilo. By no means a fortune but I look at it as free money.
If it's stuff that is in reasonable condition but just unwanted then leave it at the front of the house.,get your wife/gf to do a sign saying Free, help yourselves. Anything halfway usable will be gone in a day.

Very strange that there isn't a Garbage Dump in Buriram.

In Krasang there is, it's located on the new 4 lane "Highway" to Lamduan.

I haven been past this area in over a year so don't know if it's still active, but garbage was being dumped here:

Looks like it is still being used, but not to the extent it was.  Used to cover about 10X the area and the local garbage truck would dump there.  The pic was taken about 20 min ago.

To me that looks like it turned into an "illegal" dump site.

What a topic.... I got in the shit...not directly but from TW getting back to me... We have no refuse pick up as we are in the sticks and don't pay the 20bht(?) per month to have it removed. Did the right thing and now have four bins for plastic, glass, metal and burn stuff... Making a motza now once a month 200bht with the recycle bloke coming around to clean up rather than it being burnt. Leo bottles do not burn by the way...

So the stuff he did not take away which he could not make a dollar on (maybe 4 shopping bags..4 kilo?) I would take into town an place in the bin outside the local government buildings... After a while of doing it I was told cannot do anymore as men in truck pick up rubbish not make money from bin... So we drop it of to Tesco now or other bins bit by bit.. This is Thailand... The option of dumping it on the side of the road is sooooooo easy...

I think most of us Expats that live out in the sticks with no refuse collection do the same as you . I'm lucky as just outside our Village we have Blue Bins to place our rubbish that's not recyclable, though many Villagers still burn their rubbish  steamingMad  We did have bins but they were removed , I'm still not 100% sure why , but I have a good idea  :-X
