Maxxis Tyre Centre
« on: June 11, 2018, 05:33:15 PM »
I am sure I have seen a maxxis Tyre shop somewhere in Buriram.

Went for a ride around on the weekend and failed to find it. Or maybe there isn't one and I just thought there was

Anyone know where it is? (if it does exists) or another tyre shop that stocks the Maxxis brand.

There was one on the same side of the road as BigC. It changed to Toro.

Not sure if any other places supply them.Sorry.

I'm in the market for tyres soon but will likely look to replace like for like. I have done 70k kms on Bridgestones and am very happy with them.

Thanks Starman. I know that place, I think it is "Toyo" Tires. I will call in and see if they stock Maxxis.

Like you, I have Bridgestones on at the moment. I am in the market for some tyres and have read some good reports about the Maxxis HT 770 's

Only 35k's on my tyres. but 6 years old and starting to get quite hard.

I would shop around a bit like in Korat and Khon Kaen. Bridgestone tires for Chevy Storm were 2000 baht each cheaper out of town.

Well finally got the pick up re shod. Had a bit of trouble getting the Maxxis HT 770 's. The few places in town that advertise the brand keep no or limited stock and order to suit.

Ended up talking to the guy that runs Toyo Tires. He suggested looking at the "Laufeen X Fit HT" Nice looking tire, in stock and only 2 months old. Laufeen is a company off shoot of Hankook Tires.

Did some research on them and liked what I saw. Generally positive reviews from US and Oz.

Got what I thought was a good deal. 13K for tires with wheel alignment and balance. Free Nitrogen for life. They also took the spare off and checked it as well as refilling with Nitrogen. Tires have a 50K replacement warranty, not sure how many years though.

Original tires were 255/70/R16

He had 265/70/R16 - which I got fitted

Did some online checking about changing tire sizes and absolutely no dramas going up to 265's in my case

I have only done a couple of hundred km since fitting, but very impressed compared to the the Dunlop AT20's that were original

A little late in the day but noticed there is a Maxxis Tyre Centre in Lam Plaitmat. From Buriram, pn the left after you go through the main traffic lights.

How are your tyres, Somnat? I'll be needing some soon and just wondered if you are happy with them. Thanks.

@ Starman

Yep. all good. A very noticeable (for the better) difference to the Dunlops.

Quieter than the Dunlops as well.
