Sad news indeed, but in some ways a welcome release for an active, kind hearted and jovial man.

Would be good if someone could advise of the funeral arrangements, please.

I've heard the funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 22 at Wat Mai Amphawan in Noi Patna Village at 1pm. The funeral party will leave John?s home at 12noon.

I left Johns home at 5 pm tonight.  His wife explained that both Bangkok Police and the British Embassy must first clear his remains before he can be cremated. As soon as I find out the details I will post it on Buriram Expats.

Probably in connection with the above, from Tassie, it has been announced that John's funeral will now not take place on Wednesday. A new date will be announced shortly.

Here is a note from member Pichai. I think only one thread is better.

A 2nd note to inform that the Funeral for John Noble has been postponed.  It will NOT be held this Wednesday.

His body has been taken to the hospital as per normal protocol when any expat dies at a location other than the hospital. Tassie will post the new date.

My wife has just been speaking to John's widow.

She has confirmed that John's funeral will take place on Monday. The time is 1pm. The location is Wat Mai Amphawan in Noi Patna Village

From a Local News paper

John Noble Funeral Arrangements

The funeral of our dear friend John Noble will take place on Monday, August 27 at 2pm in the temple at John?s village.
It is not easy to find and invitations and maps have been left in Paddy?s Irish Bar, Up2You Bar and the Bamboo.

John?s family have asked everyone to meet at the temple, not the house, as the roads are narrow and conditions are difficult.

Even with the map, it is not easy to find so a number of people are meeting up at the coffee shop at Global House car park between 12.45 and 1.00pm.

From Fishing Pond Kingfisher Park Facebook Page

I made peg 3 solely for my good friend John, as he was forever falling off his chair.
So in his memory peg 3 will aways be known as the John Noble peg.
R.I.P. my good friend
