Underground water and how to use it

Ok Im getting a 4inch pipe put down to get at the underground water(lucky guy 3 farms over had his dam dug and hit groundwater.
I have no expertise is this area whatsoever.
The basics, no electricity at the farm(maybe in the future but not counting on it.
So with that in mind what set ups are others using, I know on the auntys farm nearby they used an elec gen and submersible pump.
We have a 1/2 rai dam, 1 paddy is idle this year and will be filled with run off and pumped back into the dam with a small portable 2 stroke pump, on one paddy we are growing veggies(half of it got taken over to rice when I couldnt get to the farm for a few days), will use both the ground water and dam water, one problem found with dam water as it is still under a year old the clay hasnt settled out and it stains the veggies. The other 2 paddys are rice.

I know Ruangsangthai offers solar powered pumps so that may be what you need.  As far as wells go it?s hit and miss.

A family I pass daily have a plot of land that has no power available. Over the past few weeks I have seen them drill down and install a solar powered irrigation/sprinkler system system that appears to be working very successfully. Effective solar panels do appear to be more available in Thailand over the past couple of years and as others have posted, I believe Ruangsangthai can offer asvice and guidance on the different solar systems available.

Thanks guys for the input, yeah even the guy drilling today was talking solar(they like the no more to pay bit, and gas has just gone up again), it is only costing 8000 baht to drill and only a little more if its deeper than expected.
Only slight worry with solar is it getting stolen, there is either the MIL or FIL at the farm, but she does temple and he gets a few odd jobs now and then, it will be safer if the old guy on neighboring farm moves from village to farm.

True, most who have it round here have built a small shack. They are there during the day then I think take turns to sleep on site overnight.
