Grass
«

I put down some Malaysia grass on Friday. Was told it grew well. It started withering as we laid it out. Crew that delivered saint water twice a day. Two days later all withered. Called the shop they said it has to be flooded not just watered for about a week. Flooded it. This morning it was green again. Flooded it again before going out. 3 hours later it is crispy brown. My wife did finally find grass seed online but not sure if have to buy bulk or not. I do not recommend Malaysia grass for full sun areas.

Grass is very hard over here as the grass sods come with no soil and very little roots. Water it heaps as it dries out fast in the heat. It'll go well even if it means watering 4 times a day! Don't use fertiliser till it really gets well established. regards

Browning is very common with fresh turf that has very little soil attached. Often the grass sections are clean shaved right to the plant stolons and these are hard to get to strike new roots.
I would just water it in the evening and first thing in the morning ,if you water it in the daytime you'll just boil the roots

Update: following all the instructions above I now have about 80% coverage on the flat Land and 50% on the slopes. I think with the rains coming it might look real nice in another month or so.
I had a few pieces left over when I did this project. I placed them in a shady area by the banana trees without any care at all. This area I?ve had to cut twice now it?s growing so well. The front yard has not needed cutting yet. So in my experience at least partially shaded areas are best for this grass.
