British man found dead in Buriram

A British man was found dead inside his rented dorm room in the Nang Rong district of Buriram on Sunday.

The body of the 60 year old man, was discovered when the owner of the property broke into the room after neighbours reported a foul smell.

Neighbours told police the man had not been seen for several days prior to the discovery of his body.

Nation TV reports that the man?s wife had left him after he refused to give up drinking.

Police said they found no sign of a disturbance inside the room. The man?s motorcycle was found inside the property and empty bottles of beer were also discovered next to the body.

Police said the death could be alcohol related and are awaiting autopsy results to determine the official cause of death.
