Good hotels for family in Buriram
« on: September 29, 2017, 04:32:37 PM »
I am coming with family (including a 6 year old monster)  in January and was looking for some good hotel. I could not find availability in Tulip Boutique and Amari. Are there any other good hotels for the family? Cresco seems to be going for 3,600 baht for standard kind of room and around 4,800 baht for next level up. Is it as good as its prices?

Any help will be appreciated.

Best Western is good and great staff
I have heard good reports about Ray's Hotel
Cresco is kinda a Thai oriented Hotel but very friendly. (thai friends own it)
regards

Thanks Wayne. I was looking at Best Western, as prices look very reasonable. It looks like they don't have bath tub which would have been convenient for young one. But I could buy something from Big C. Cresco prices seem to be over the top for Buriram. Will definitely look at Rays too.

Cheers

I know quite a few people who have stayed at Ray hotel. I have never heard any complaints.

I have stayed at both I like both buy Best Western is at least 1 star better than Ray. Breakfast is very good at BW, crappish at Ray.

Amari is good if you can catch the right price.

Thanks Co Co. I tried to book Amari as I have some points that I could have used, but it's not available.
Best Western is a well known chain here as well, so it would be a preference, however, the family room in Ray gives extra single bed along with a king size bed. Ray is also offering some really great price of 1,490 baht per day for Family room. So a bit of conundrum.

IMO........ you can't go wrong with the Ray.... but BW is better.

I like the Ray, the location is not as good as BW (but often not that important), the breakfast at Ray is OK for Thais. No lift at the Ray..  the khatoey at the Ray is a laugh...

Thanks guys. I finally zeroed in on Ray hotel only because of size and configuration of the Family room. Will report back on how did it go.
Now I need to sort out transfer from airport as both AirAsia and Nokair did not provide this option on their website. I mean I could not check the tickbox for transfer on Nokair and AirAsia did not show any availability when I selected the destination of Transfer to Best Western.

Let's see how it goes.

Thanks for your help.

Can you please provide contact information for Jimmy's bar?

I could not book it via AirAsia website as it was showing "Unavailable" for my dates.
