Meteo Dept forecasts isolated and heavy rainfalls nationwide


BANGKOK, 28 June 2009 (NNT) - The Thai Meteorological Department reported that, as of 4:00 AM today, a strong southwestern monsoon was passing through the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand.

Coupled with pressure air masses covering the upper part of Vietnam, abundant isolated and severe rainfalls across the country can be expected in the days ahead.

Copped a big downpour yesterday lunchtime & another looks likely to start any minute now
