If you have showers, which consume 3/3.5KW, or even a hot water heater for a bath/jacuzzi which consumes 6kw+, then you may have problems with 15/45

When I have the Jacuzzi filling and 1 air con is on,  + lights tv etc, all the power has a habit of tripping -not just the  jacuzzi circuit.

15/45 is OK for Starman, as he and his family do not use hot water.

We do have quite a few appliances on at the same time. We have 5 chest freezers on constantly. Additional items would be to, fridge, fans and a collection  of telephones charging.

So far have about 78 m of fence built.  Total cost was 107k and change.  So, about 1370 Baht per linear meter.  Not sure if that was the best deal available but it is what it is   Electrical coming today.  Three poles and a 15/45 meter.  Apparently all told, it will cost 16050 Baht when completed.

They are starting to do the foundation.  Had an Backhoe in and digging started for 20 pillars.  Steel seems to be the most expensive part of this process.  We purchased from Ruangsangthai in Buriram and my wife was very pleased with their service.  All said, the cost of the foundation materials will be in the area of 60000 baht (including the backhoe rental).  We purchased steels, cement, gravel and sand.  I will dicuss labour costs in a later posting

Looks like it's coming along well.
We also got our steel from Ruangsangthai. Certainly seems to be the best price on the area. The company that built my pool now also use Ruangsangthai for all their steel regardless of where they are building.

I asked them for a foundation to build a house.  They either think I am building a) Skyscraper or b) film set for a World War One documentary replete with trenches

Freddy. Could you please post a picture of your pool, the dimensions and approximate cost.  I am considering building a pool and any advice would be welcome.

It can be a challenge for expats to build a home on time, within  budget and to an acceptable level of workmanship. I sent two of the bi lingual College graduates today with two of the Diamond Building Products technical advisors to a Buriram Village Home being constructed by a Thai home building team. The expat customer of Ruangsangthai phoned me to say that the technical advise given in Thai with written instructions and video instructions to his local home builders is much appreciated. If you buy building materials from my family owned builders merchants I can arrange for complementary professional instruction to your choice of Buriram labor. These same technical advisors help to train the home building labor now building higher end housing estates in Buriram. Miss Jaew and Miss Kun did the translations so that the spouse of the expat did not have stress. I am thankful this Buriram expat added gravel to his temporary driveway so the Ruangsangthai building materials delivery trucks can drive close to his home building site. Mud is no friend of delivery trucks. Thank you for your support. Mr. Pichai.
