Labour costs for house build?
« on: February 09, 2017, 08:35:27 AM »
Hi all.  In the process of looking into costs to build a 3 bedroom, two bathroom home with standard finishings near Satuek.  I am wondering if anyone could give me an idea or approximation of the cost of labour per sq. meter as we will be supplying materials :)  Thanks :)

Gday Waynesurin, Not sure of price per square meter for work but I recently finished a 3 bedroom with large balcony and concrete verandah all the way around. I was paying the builders 400bht per day. They would start at 8am and finish 5pm with an hour for lunch. I used to also buy a bottle of Low Kow whisky 100bht which kept the moral high. The builders are on the job 7 days a week unless its a National Holiday. I have a post  New Bahn Non Suwan with photo's. Sorry don't know how to provide a direct link to the site but if you do a search it should come up!

I had a labor quote about the first of October for a similar sized build; it was quoted at just over 920,000.

Here is your Thread New Bahn Non Suwan ;)

Edit: But it seems that most of the pictures in that Thread are gone because of a Malfunction with the BE servers a couple of weeks ago.

fishy

Am I correct that you started in November 2015 with the build and finished around May 2016 ? So around 5-6 months ?

I look at the filenames you named your Pictures ;)

Thx

Great pics :)  Thanks.  How much was the cost for the electric meter and do you know what capacity it is? 15/45?

We got 30/100 (single phase) and we paid 13000 THB deposit at the local PEA.

Thanks Mike, would you suggest that 15/45 is sufficient?  My wife's father thinks the 5/15 is the way to do, but I am not so sure.
