How to impress your friends
« on: February 04, 2017, 10:33:14 AM »
I would have thought that within any countries Diplomatic Corps, it would be a fairly essential requirement to get foreign dignitaries names right. Just out of professional courtesy, if nothing else.

At a recent US Whitehouse media conference, spokesman Sean Spicer, constantly referred to Australia's Prime Minister as Mr Trumble.

Well done dickhead ..... it's Turnbull .... not Trumble

Bit of a worry when the US doesn't even know the name of one of their closest allies.

Don't suppose Pres Grump will lose too much sleep over it. Hope Sean Spicy got a kick in the arse though.

Too bad Spicer didn't call Turnbull by a load of other appropriate names.  The former Goldman Sachs bankster is continuing to sell out Australia and as an Australian I dislike both sides of Australian politics.

A bit like English people insisting that Paris is pronounced with a final 'S' or the French saying that that there was a lady Prime Minister of the UK called something like 'Tachaair'.

While I've been generally impressed with Trump's cabinet picks, I'm wondering a bit about the "staffers" he has around the White House?

I'm sure that Mr Spicer reads information (names) from a sheet prepared by some of these staffers.  And I'm sure that Spicer can read.

(sorry to those from Oz', but Mr Turnbull is not exactly a household-known name, yet)

Just saw a lawyer interviewed (one of the WH counsel) who was supposedly responsible for crafting the "immigration ban", which seems to have been fraught with errors!  The guy looked and acted like some shyster lawyer who should have been on the "Better Call Saul" series.  Not very impressive.
