BTW, Trump gave a very good press conference today, worth watching IMHO:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W5FRUM-AK9k

Some reactions:

Stunned by today?s press conference? So were the broadcast and cable news network anchors who led special coverage. Here?s what they had to say right after Pres. Trump finished his remarks:
ABC: ?What a remarkable window into the state of mind of the President of the United States right there.? ? George Stephanopoulos, 2:12 p.m. ET.
CBS: ?Well, a remarkable news conference?? ? Scott Pelley, 2:12 p.m. ET.
NBC: ?Pres. Trump concluding an hour and 10 minute long session with reporters in the East Room?? ? Lester Holt, 2:12 p.m.
CNN: ?Wow, what an amazing an hour and 15 minute briefing by the President of the United States.? ? Wolf Blitzer, 2:13 p.m. ET.
Fox News: ?Wow. Well, all righty then, that was some press conference.? ? Melissa Francis, 2:12 p.m. ET.
MSNBC: ?Well, that was a doozy of a press conference.? ? Katy Tur, 2:12 p.m. ET

The Trump haters are amazing.  The are saying because Trump tried to tell a reporter to set up a meeting with Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) Trump is a racist idiot.

What Trump is really saying is bring them to table and we will talk.  This is after Nancy Pelosi stated there was nothing she could work with Bush.  I am going to assume she meant Trump.

Elijah Cummings made a statement about drug prices, Trump called him saying lets work this.  Trump is the president, Cummings if he really believed what he said should have been at the White House doorstep agreeing to meet.  Instead the meeting never happened.

As usual, one set rules for Dems, another set for Rebus.

Keith,  I am assuming that you didn't look into these incredible quotes at all.  These quotes were taken out of context by Fox news, here is the rest of the story.
CBS, Scott Pelley went on to say the presser was typical for trump in that it was based on "bluster, bravado, exaggeration, and a few loose facts."
ABC, George Stephanopolous went on to say, "Big goal of the press conference was to advance his campaign, delegitimize the mainstream media, and show his supporters that he is taking them on"
CNN, Wolf Blitzer, said he was stunned by what he had witnessed, Jake Tapper of CNN, press conference was "wild and unhinged, wow"

I think Fox is trying to get people to believe that the press is starting to realize the genius of trump, which is BS.

Yes, by all means watch the press conference.

Ok so you, along with many other people, dislike Trump.
Who's fault is it that he got elected: the MSM thought he was an interesting joke and kept publicising him.
What was the alternative? Clinton? Whatever his deficiencies he has to be better, he has no political debts to pay off, doesn't participate in the newly resurrected Russophobic philosophy of the Dems, has declared his opposition to the USA's traditional policy of changing governments they don't like.
The Dems are desperately going on from one hopeless attack after another, Russian intervention, election invalid, change the election system, impeach Trump...every week a new one. No actual standing up and offering rational arguments, name calling and conspiracy theories seem to be about as far as it goes.
Clinton wanted to establish a no fly zone over Syria. The Russians wouldn't have appreciated that, and ISIS would still be on the offensive in Syria. She supported regime changes all over the Middle East and the result is that we have to support an invasion of refugees and others. She sold Uranium to Russia, who have suddenly become enemies again. ... and so on.

And read the comments.

but consider this article:

And the libs saying that requiring voter ID is racist is total BS.  That does not pass the common sense test.

It is incomprehensible to me how requiring voters to prove their citizenship is somehow racist.  I am more than willing to provide my citizenship voting qualifications.

Same arguments used in the UK when they tried to introduce ID cards.

Likes to hold large rallies.
Spouts nationalistic rhetoric.
Blames one religious group for all the worlds ills.
Has followers who believes every word he says and refutes all others.

Sound familiar?

I shall now duck before the red neck back lash.

Are you saying those who favour Trump over crooked Hillary are all rednecks?  Do you have any names that best describe Hillary supporters?  A common name for them is Libtards.  Do you agree with that characterization?

A joke to lighten up the tension a bit

One of Trump?s assistants says to him, Sir, we're mining too many coal mines. Trump replies, Well, mine less.

A writer and grammar expert then turns to him and says, 'Mine FEWER!' Trump looks up and says, 'Yes?'

One thing Trump has done is put pride and optimism back to working America.  He is dealing and sometimes hammering big business such as Ford to keep jobs in the USA, to me that is a great thing.   I also see why businesses are leaving because taxes and increasingly hostile government regulations, both Trump promises to fix.

Yes there has been missteps, probably the biggest was the mishandling of the Travel Ban.  The incompetence of the Justice Department was on rampant display, along with petty antagonistic Democrat obstruction.  Long time Senator Jess Sessions should have been confirmed on day 1 by his fellow senators, I dare say if he were in place it would have been an different justice department that handled the case.

And yes, Trump exaggerated his electoral win in the press conference, a lot of us cringed when he said that.  There were several comments from the media about why is he even bringing that up.  It's because the media and Dems have been trying de-legitimize his election since it happened.  Between Hillary won the popular vote so more Americans want her policies or the Russians hacked the election.  I have stated before that Russia never hacked the election, they may have hacked into the DNC (based on the DNC's incompetence), but they did not hack the election.

The Washington Post (aka Washington Compost), actually has a fairly decent article:

Trump supporters see a successful president ? and are frustrated with critics who don?t
By Jenna Johnson and David Weigel February 19 at 6:44 PM
https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/trump-supporters-see-a-successful-president--and-are-frustrated-with-critics-who-dont/2017/02/19/496cb4b4-f6ca-11e6-9845-576c69081518_story.html?utm_term=.e92e3789cfb6

MELBOURNE, Fla. ? Many of President Trump?s most dedicated supporters ? the sort who waited for hours in the Florida sun this weekend for his first post-inauguration campaign rally ? say their lives changed on election night. Suddenly they felt like their views were actually respected and in the majority.

But less than one month into Trump?s term, many of his supporters say they once again feel under attack ? perhaps even more so than before.

She blames the media for circulating ?fake? stories about the president ? like when she believed he was ?very cool, wasn?t yelling? at a Thursday news conference, yet a CNN anchor described his behavior as ?unhinged.?

?There?s such hatred for the man,? she said. ?I just don?t get it.?
It was a common sentiment at the rally in an airplane hangar here, flanked by Air Force One and attended by about 9,000 people. There were chants of ?CNN sucks!? and ?Tell the truth!? A pre-rally speaker gleefully announced that the president had given the media ?a spanking.?

And Trumps Florida Rally is also worth watching.  Heads are exploding because Trump's wife actually started out with the Lord's Prayer:

Thank you urleft, that is the first time you have admitted that mistakes have been made. All I would like to see is a fair assessment, not this constant Trump is the King of Kings and everything else is fake news.

Thank you.

I am not 100% behind Trump like Gene Huber (google him if you don't know him).  Trump is going to do things I don't agree with, just as Obama announced some things I did agree.  For example Obama was proposing cutting the military general/flag officers by 10% (I might be off here), my thought was he should have gone for 50% (not sure that happened).

However, when the other side is in total opposition I am going to back Trump.  Remember Pelosi saying recently "There was nothing she could work with Bush", I believe she meant Trump.  How can she not work with him on keeping American Jobs?  That seems like a joint project for both parties.

And the almost total opposition to confirming Trump's cabinet.  The Dems got a win there.  They hamstrung Trump by not confirming a long time fellow senator that many that voted against him sponsored bills with him.  And the Dem win continued with that Obama holdover at the DOJ refused to do her job and support Trump.

Trump says he wants to restore the inner cities, note that every ghetto is run by a Democrat.  After Trump was elected he met with several inner city advocates (e.g. Jim Brown, Steve Harvey, MLK son) and all came out of the meeting with positive remarks, even if they didn't support Trump for president.

But I am willing to give Trump the benefit of the doubt.  There is a current twitter fight going on with the Obama Holdover Somalia ambassador giving their new president a "Make Somalia Great Again" Hat.  I like to think that was done as a positive, but when I went to my conservative website of choice most were saying fire the Ambassador.

I think despite the best efforts of the Dems and Media Trump support is increasing as he continues to make good on his promises.

I also believe you can disagree without being disagreeable.

As I have said before, I'm only playing.

I think Trump might well do many good things. I also think he might go off the rails!

I was going to ask how long do you think he will be President for?

2-4 years
4 years
4-6 years
8 years?

What will end his Presidency?
Assassination
Ill health
Voted out after 1 term
Impeachment
2 full terms.

I have no view, honestly, although it would not surprise me if an attempt was made on his life at some point (yet I thought that of Obama and he made it through!!)
