Monthly remuneration to the partner for personal expenses.
« on: December 06, 2016, 08:07:24 PM »
There are so many variables to this question. Children.. Partners family.. Sick Buffalo.. Hair dye.. Fuel in car... ..Electricity..Holidays.. Food...etc...etc... The question is not what your living expenses are per month but what amount if any is passed onto your partner for their own living costs...?

None specifically. I take money for the month out of bank. It goes in a drawer and we each take what we need as and when we need it. To date it has worked fine. The wife doesn't have to ask for money and seems to be very careful with what she spends. More careful than me in fact.

We only live in Thailand for 6 months every year, and spend the other 6 months in the UK, over the summer. Whilst in England the wife has two jobs that she is always welcome back to. She bank's all the money she earns from this work, I don't touch a penny.
She pays her own expeses both in England and in Thailand from this money.  I pay all houshold bills and any other major expenses in both homes. This system has worked well for us. She likes to be independant as far as money goes.
