Forum members in Buriram and Isaan Thailand:  Today I start my first business trip to the United States. Three highlights will by my meeting with Mr. Greg Sengstack the CEO of Franklin Electric and Mr. Robert Stone the International Water System expert of Franklin Schaefer pump in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I am seeking to build a stronger business relationship with the #1 deep well pump and pump control manufacturer in the United States as these dependable pumps and controls have benefited the farmers, business and home owners in Buriram, Surin, Maha Sarakham Provinces of Isaan. Mr. Nop and Mr. California Bob have given me maps and directions to visit Lowe's Home Improvement Center and the Home Depot Hardware Store located very close to the Embassy Suites by Hilton I am booked in Secaucus Meadowlands, New Jersey. Both Mr. Nop and Mr. Bob assure me that New Jersey hardware store clerks will not offer free coffee or cold water when I look at the displays of home building materials or power tools in the same manner as expats experience in Buriram.  I will post photos of my visit to the world headquarters of Franklin Electric and look forward to bringing back better products and better hardware store display ideas to Ruangsangthai  in Buriram. Mr. Bob has cautioned me that Solid Gold, Pure Platinum are not jewelry stores in the United States.

Hi, maybe not the correct topic of Pichai's trip to America but I would like to express my thoughts of my visit today to buy a couple of water pumps and a lot of drip system components. Mr Bob and his staff took a couple of hours to fill my list and they were a pleasure to deal with. Their patience and understanding was commendable. This is something you don't get at the big name stores. The cold water offers was also much appreciated. A very satisfied customer.

Thank you very much for the kind words and well wishes. Monday I started my visit to the world headquarters of Franklin Electric. I must comment that United Airlines flight attendants are not the same perky women as you may experience on Air Asia, or Nok Air.  I did already meet today with Mr. Robert Stone the Senior VP and President of International Water Systems and with Mr. Andrew Buuck the Product manager for the Asia Pacific. These are real water pump experts. It is much colder in Fort Wayne Indiana than I have ever experienced in Buriram, Thailand.  I trust the foreigner sales team will assist any Buriam Home Builders and home owners while I learn  more about deep well water pumps in the United States. Mr. California Bob has cautioned me to not go into a Walmart at night as the customer experience will be a stark contrast to Home Depot or Lowe's Home Improvement stores.

Pichai,

Recommend you try some American Sweet Corn.  They should be harvesting it now, some of the best in the world.  But it's available all through the areas, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, etc.

We used to buy it by the bushel at roadside farmer stands.

Urleft: Thank you for the "local tip". I'll see if I can get this USA Holiday bus driver to pull over. Thank you very much. There is not an NCA, NakhonChai Air, bus attendant on this coach. Is it true that you must be over the age of 50 to be a female flight attendant on United Airlines?

Yesterday I visited a white home where staff were measuring the windows for new curtains. Seems in January this home will have a new tenant for four years. A notch up in security than I have seen at a home in Buriram Thailand.

It is great to be back on solid ground in Buriram Province helping home builders and providing power tools to both Thai citizens and expats living in Isaan. The boat trip near the Niagara Waterfalls was quite an experience on my business trip to Franklin Electric Water Pump in the United States in October.
