90 day reporting on a weekend
« on: September 27, 2016, 07:30:41 AM »
Hi everyone, does anyone have first hand experience of what to do when your due date lands on a Sunday as mine now does. I guess Burriram still isn't open and so it will be a visit to KCI still. So, can I wait until Monday the 3rd of October or must I go on Friday 30th September. If I go on the Monday will I be fined 500 Baht for a days overstay ??
As I say please only quote if you have first hand experience and not what happened to your friend as everyone likes to tell a good story over a few beers.
Kind regards.
Bart

You won't be on overstay, the 90 days report is among other things, there to keep a check on where you are. I forget the exact limits but a few days before or after the date makes no difference to them. My last date was a Saturday, I went on the Friday.

Notification of staying in the Kingdom over 90 days
Procedure and notification

The foreigner makes the notification in person, or
The foreigner authorizes another person to make the notification, or
The foreigner makes the notification by registered mail.
The notification must be made within 15 days before or after 7 days the period of 90 days expires.
The first application for extension of stay by the foreigner is equivalent to the notification of staying in the Kingdom over 90 days.

From Thai immigration website ....
