It seems there are minibuses running between Nang Rong and Lam Plai Mat (and even maybe Buriram) and v.v.
Interested to know about details as frequency, time table and locations of departure and arrival.

Do passengers need to make a reservation, and how can passengers on the way between i.e. Nang Rong and Lam Plai Mat get on the bus. I.e. do they need to contact the company forehand ? Also a telephone number should be useful.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Can't respond re Lam Plai Mat; however, Nang Rong to Buriram - there are 2 companies; so, on average, there is one every 20 minutes or so @ about fifty something baht (one way).  Sometimes a sane driver; sometimes not.  And, departing from the bus station - or stand along side the highway and flag them down.

Thank you. Endpoint Buriram is oke, but bus must go via Lam Plai Mat as family lives halfway between Nangrong and LPM.

What I in fact mean are the minibuses. They started with this service not too long ago (if I am correctly informed).\

Again, can not respond for Lam Plai Mat for the mini-bus (van) transportation.  Check at the Lam Plai Mat, Buriram or Nang Rong bus station for details.

Sounds like your family live in Chamni.

You will need to get to either Lamplaimat or NangRong to get a minibus to Buriram.

There will be songteaw services (pick up or small truck with a roof put on and seats along the side) that will go to either place. There will be no timetable for these but will run for most of the day from about 7am to 5pm.

There is / are regular minibus services Buriram - Lamplaimat as well as Songtaew and larger buses. No need for a reservation during normal hours, I got asked where I wanted to go as soon as I got off the bus last time. In my limited experience you can't plan stuff like this, you just spend some time waiting around learning and then maybe doing it better the next time.

Sounds like your family live in Chamni.

Maybe my question was not clear. Sorry.

The family lives in between Nangrong and Lamplai Mat (along road 2073) and would like to go by minibus to LPM / Buriram. They know about a bus service Nagrong - Buriram but this route goes via road 218 to Buriram (and is therefore useless for them).

The minivans I am referring to are running via road 2073 v.v.

Chamni is on the 2073 between Nang Ring and Lamplaimat. That's why I mentioned it.

The trick is that I have seen minibuses travelling back and forward between NR and LPM (via the 2073) and have seen them stopping to pick-up / drop passengers.

Anyhow, in three weeks time I'm there and will try to find out more information myself at the bus station in NR.

Thanks for all the replies.

I have seen them them on that road but have never paid much attention apart from the fact they are new vehicles compared to the couple of 30 seater buses that used to ply that route
