I'm looking for Traveller Palms. Has anyone seen these for sale in the Buriram area?

I am fairly sure I saw one at the plant shop just north of across the street from the Private Hospital.

While I haven't specifically seen them I would recommend you check at the trees for sale just east of the Elephant Circle.

Freddy,

do you mean these ones ??

We have a couple in our garden and we bought from the Garden Centre in Surin, and we are looking for more of them but they are out of stock and have been for a long time already.

iammike -
I've really only paid attention to them when they are more fully grown but your picture looks right when small. I have really only seen them fully grown as per my picture when travelling down the peninsular.
Thanks. I will keep my eyes open.
I think they look fantastic when fully grown.

Yes, they really do look great when fully grown.

We use them for shading around the garden, but mind you this one is already planted over 1 years ago, but I think they are this small because of the bad soil condition in our garden unfortunately.

If you find them, please let us know as we are looking for a couple more,

Thank you both.
iammike - will let you know if I see any.
Our soil isn't to good either. Some plants do great Bit others struggle. Sugar and pesky bananas seem to thrive.

The missus calls them Banana Palm.

Should be able to find then at the garden centre near the Ekachon hospital and also the one on the Satuk Road near the the elephant roundabout.

It is also called the east west palm and it is important which way the flat surface faces. Now I cant remember whether is should face east or follow the east west line, so best clarify that with the nursery. Also it grows bl..dy big so think ahead. Check out East West Palm on wikipeadia.

I was at the garden centers just east of the Elephant Circle this morning, saw several of the Palms.  Small size were at the last store on the right.  Medium sized about 3/4ths down on the left.  There was also a large one about mid right (no pic).
