I have read on TV and I recall 2 other offices doing home visits on retirement extensions.

I guess I didn't find them, then.  I searched on "home visit" and scanned the titles visually.  What should I have searched for?

No idea. I just stumbled across them.

Academic really as each immigration office will do it's own thing.

Somebody was told last week that they no longer do home visits!..

That would be nice, as apparently KCI is the only immigration office in the country that does home visits on retirement extensions.  Everywhere else those are only done for marriage extensions.

Belive or not its is on TV BUT TV is Not the end all. There are are other sources. Just keep looking, Never just believe one bar stool.

Not true. They were the first and the worst but there has been reports of others picking up on this nasty habit such as Nong Khai, Amrat Charoen, Udon. Not many but they have done it..

If wrong, I stand corrected.  But a quick search on TV came up with no other immigration offices making up this new requirement other than KCI since last year.  Sources?

Believe it or not its is on TV saying that never relay soly on just TV there are other sources.

For info I visited KC Immigration today (27/09) for 90 Day renewal and afterwards the IO informed me that the new Buriram office was open as of tomorrow - 28/09. He volunteered this info, I did not ask him beforehand.

Last Saturday I visited the new office complex, as i was in the city at the time and just wanted to locate it for future reference. There was a notice on the window supplying contact telephone numbers, I have posted the jpg I took below.

Hope this helps.

BTW - I asked the IO whether he was transferring tehre, to which he replied that he was. I said to him that it seemed an improvement on the KC office, he replied "More room, but NO A/C!!!" - could get warm if waiting times are like KC office!!!!

Hi everyone, went to KCI this morning for my 90 days reporting as I wasn't too optimistic that Buriram would really be open only to be very rudely told to " go to Buriram ", when I said I have driven for 1 3/4 hours he raised his voice and said " go to Buriram ". So we left the office and I was not processed. There were only 4 farangs in there. So unless you like arguing with officialdom or you want to go to Chong Chom I suggest you try Buriram immigration if that's your address.

Now that Buriram office is open, I wonder if the online 90 day reporting will still work for Buriram residents. Presumably if they haven't changed the system to route the applications to Buriram, then they will be rejected by KCI.
